Iowa radio broadcaster and former NFL running back Ed Podolak is recovering after being hit by a car while crossing a street in Scottsdale, Ariz. Police said Podolak, 63, was not inside a crosswalk when he was hit Sunday. He was taken to a hospital with what are described as non-life-threatening injuries. Podolak played for the Hawkeyes and spent nine seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs.
A pair of former Kansas City Chiefs defensive linemen are going to the Hall of Fame — no not the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The Los Gatos High School Hall of Fame as well as the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame.
Patrick Allen is VP of Content for the FanSided Network. He also serves the managing editor of the network's very first site, Arrowhead Addict. Originally from Ohio, Patrick is a Chiefs fan first and a Browns fan second (I know!). He also pulls for the Buckeyes, Indians and Cavs. Guinness is thinking of naming him the most miserable sports fan of all time. @rpatrickallen
