I’d just like to take the opportunity to wish Ms. AA a very happy birthday! Born in Chicago, she was partial to the Bears until she met me. After 3 or so years of constantly hammering away at her about the Kansas City Chiefs, she now owns one Chiefs t-shirt, one Chiefs hat and she knows who Derrick Thomas is.
So Happy Birthday to one of Kansas City’s newest fans!
And now, here is your Morning Fix!
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Rogers is visiting New Orleans. Rogers, cut by Cleveland last week, visited Washington before going to Kansas City on Tuesday. He is one of the few quality players who is eligible to sign with a team now. He reportedly wants a new team by the end of this month.
To probably nobody’s surprise, all of the Kansas City Chiefs players to have worn #57 are linebackers. And most of them, you’ve probably never heard of or haven’t thought about in years.
Linebacker is probably the most expendable or recyclable position on a football team. They’re usually athletic and quick which makes them perfect candidates to rush down the field on special teams.
That should be taken as another positive sign, though Zorn’s true value would be realized not by whether he can exist working alongside Haley but if he can help Matt Cassel grow as he did last year.
