Pittsburgh Steelers Will Meet The Green Bay Packers In The Super Bowl

The Pittsburgh Steelers held off a rallying New York Jets team to win the AFC Championship and the chance to win their organizations seventh Super Bowl title.

The Jets looked dead in the water after falling behind 24-3 in the first half. In the second half however, the Jets came out firing and the held the Steelers scoreless while mounting a furious comeback. NY managed to pull within 5 points before the Steelers offense got a couple of key first downs and ran out the clock.

The Steelers will go on to take on the NFC Champion Green Bay Packers who held off a comeback attempt by the Chicago Bears earlier in the day.For the Packers it will be their first Super Bowl appearance since the Bret Favre era and for the Steelers it will be their second Super Bowl appearance in three years.
