Report: Chargers To Hire Greg Manusky As Defensive Coordinator

The Kansas City Chiefs aren’t the only the only AFC West team looking for a coordinator this offseason. The San Diego Chargers are in need of a defensive coordinator after losing Ron Rivera to the Carolina Panthers head coaching job.

It appears they’ve found their man.

Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune is reporting that the Chargers are likely to hire San Fransisco 49ers defensive coordinator Greg Manusky.

Manusky was a linebacker for 13 seasons in the NFL playing for the Washington Redskins, Minnesota Vikings and of course, the Kansas City Chiefs. He was also KC’s linebackers coach for 6 years under former coach Marty Schottenheimer. He then followed Marty to San Diego before landing in San Fransisco.
