Pro Football Focus Names 2 Chiefs To All-Pro Defense

The Kansas City Chiefs don’t have any defenders going to the Pro Bowl (yet)but they do have some guys receiving recognition from the folks at Pro Football Focus.

PFF watches every player on every play of every game and gives them grades. They have perhaps the most accurate assessment of how a player is actually performing outside of the guys coaching those  players. To say that pro Football Focus goes beyond the box score is an understatement.

So which Chiefs defenders made the team? Find out after the jump.

Tamba Hali:

Really tough choosing two from these four (and more). You have to have Hali in there as the guy who terrorized quarterbacks more than any other player; no one even came close to his 95 overall pressures (combined sacks, hits and hurries).

Brandon Flowers:

Flowers was as good as it got earlier but had some troubles later, which almost saw Asomugha overtake him. Winfield just edges out the AFC rookies, Devin McCourty and Joe Haden, in large part due to his superior work in run defense.
