It seams Baltimore lost to Atlanta on an obvious missed called offensive pass interference earlier this season. Point being K.C. needs to get past the Ravens to continue. 10-6 and 1 playoff game is good for Kansas City football. I'm guessing we lose this Sunday but only because of cold weather and an apparent superior adversary (ravens). It won't be lost by bad coaching or bad playing on the Chiefs part. Or I'll say it shouldn't be lost. At least we won't get killed on national t.v.- It will be a close game. If the Chiefs want this one for the win, shut the Raven's offense down in the 2nd quarter and draw some penalties throughout the game. If by any chance the Chiefs have a decent lead going into the 4th quarter keep in mind it will be Haley and Co. fault if we lose. If the Chiefs win- They'll Be Heroes like another poster mentioned earlier. Good luck.
The Chiefs definitely have the playmakers to get it done. It would be a surprise to see, but a very pleasant one.
I have been doing some looking around on different sites and alot of people are picking the chiefs to win it all suprisingly.
I am forever the cursed Chiefs fan!!!!!For the first time in 9 years my company is sending me on the road to Jacksonville Fla.I live in very cold Massachusetts,so it's only fitting and my curse that i will be on a plane for the entire Chiefs/Pats game(I have put down the Ravens game as a win)!!!!!are you freakin kidding!!!!
Anything is possible in the NFL Randy, especially in the playoffs. The record is 0-0, and the teams are fired up. So there's a huge possibility that the good teams like the Saints will be a bit too cocky and think they can run over the Seahawks. That's what happened with the Pats vs Browns this season. So every team needs to get their heads in the game. (Especially the young ones)
wow Tony G battling his old team. What a dream ! Especially when we would kick his ass and he drove home a loser!
Now that the post season has begun I have not been able to see any NFC in the super bowl other than the falcons. I think they are just too tough. But now that there is also talk of a possible (very possible) Chiefs vs. Falcons game, makes me think of the Madden game I played just a week ago at my friends house. I was sitting there watching two of the four of us playing a Deadbolts vs. Indy game. We were talking about football when I mentioned the mighty Chiefs. Well reaction was not grand or even so-so. When the game was finished a was asked if I wanted a turn. Sure I said why not. ( we were playing on PS3 and I'm an xbox guy not to mention it was madden 10) I flipped through the teams and landed on what was then a pretty sorry KC team. Whom did my opponent chose? You guessed it the Falcons! As we played it seemed dismal for me and the chief. Down by 7 and just throwing a pick I was pretty much giving up. But then I made a coaching change and put in Charles. For some reason the pixelated Matt Cassel came alive and Bowe was playing much like the real Bowe is now. When it was all said and done I and the Chiefs sat on top 31-17 in ATL! Since then that's all I can wish for now. Go Chiefs!!!!
If the Chiefs get there I dont think I can afford to follow them past Sundays game, but who cares GO CHIEFS!
Before the season started, I made a 50:1 $5 bet that the chiefs would win the AFC and be in the Super Bowl. I have been dreaming of it ever since I made the bet but it is closer now than it ever has been. 3 wins from $250 in my pocket. That will make for a nice celebration. If not, $5 bought me plenty of good thoughts about what might be. I would also love nothing more than to meet the Falcons there. Tony G deserves his chance to play for it all... not to mention William Moore and Sean Weatherspoon on the D side of things.
I won't lie I thought about this in week 3 right after we got our 3rd win(while we were still undefeated). I thought how crazy would that be if we played Atlanta in the Super Bowl, and for some reason beat them. The irony is for Tony Gonzalez. I love him, much like any Chiefs fan does, but that would sure snub him if he was playing against the Chiefs in the Super Bowl. Although I think we could make it that far, we really do have to have the right offensive line show up this week.
I will go to bed with the intentions of having warm fuzzy dreams thinking about the prospect of this happening but am quite sure I will wake up in a cold sweat before the end of every dream wondering what happened until I see it happen :P GO CHIEFS!
I think there is much wisdom in the old adage of taking it 1 game at a time. If the Chiefs are still in the tournament 2 weeks from now I will speculate on this scenario, until then, I'm sticking to the 1 game at a time mindset.
