Brian Daboll Is Possible Weis Replacement In Kansas City

There is now little doubt that Chiefs offensive coordinator Charlie Weis will be departing Kansas City so not the focus shifts to who will replace him.

According to Adam Caplan is reporting that a personnel source told  FOXSports.com that a name to keep an eye  on is Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Brian Daboll.

Daboll was the wide receivers coach under Weis in new England so he is familiar with the offensive system the Chiefs are running. Daboll could find himself available if Browns GM Mike Holmgren decides to fire head coach Eric Mangini and his staff at the conclusion of the season. The Browns have shown improvement this season, however, Mangini has failed to increase the team’s win total from a season ago and Holmgren’s patience may be wearing thin.

The Browns have not exactly been a scoring juggernaut this season. They rank 30th in passing and 19th in rushing. Though to be fair to Daboll, the Browns haven’t exactly had the best QB play starting Jake Delhome, Senneca Wallace and Colt McCoy at different times throughout the season. On top of that, Mangini has been criticized as being too conservative on offense so Daboll may not necessarily be at fault.

What do you think Addicts? Would you be interested in Brian Daboll as a possible replacement for Charlie Weis?
