We are normally all Kansas City Chiefs, all the time around here but I know we have a number of readers who cheer for local college football teams and of course, the Kansas City Royals, so I wanted to give you all a heads up about FanSided’s new K-State blog Jug of Snyder.
This unit has been forced to step up their play since the first game of the season. The lack of D-line production has made tackling duty fall to the second level. That’s brought added responsibility for gap run support and less of an ability to blitz and bring pressure. Of course, some of that is a result of the “bend, don’t break” defensive strategy Kansas State has employed but when a system fails at the first level, the second has to pick up the slack.
Patrick Allen is VP of Content for the FanSided Network. He also serves the managing editor of the network's very first site, Arrowhead Addict. Originally from Ohio, Patrick is a Chiefs fan first and a Browns fan second (I know!). He also pulls for the Buckeyes, Indians and Cavs. Guinness is thinking of naming him the most miserable sports fan of all time. @rpatrickallen
