The Morning Fix: Merry Christmas Edition

Merry Christmas everyone! Let’s hope the Chiefs and the Bengals have some extra gifts lined up for us tomorrow.

Until then, here is your Morning Fix!

“Sometimes you get lost in the holidays with work,” Jones said after a Christmas Eve practice, “and when you’ve been doing it as long as I have … you celebrate the actual reason for the holidays, but all the perks, the gifts, the Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners and all those things that come with it, you don’t get to experience.

Fined $7,500 by the league office, Kansas CIty Chiefs linebacker Demorrio Williams was punished for an unnecessary roughness infraction against the St. Louis Rams.

Williams hit Rams running back Steven Jackson in the head even though he wasn’t near the play, an int4erception by rookie safety Kendrick Lewis.

“There’s not too many places that are tougher,” said Collins, who needs 94 yards passing to become the 12th quarterback with 40,000. “I know how tough it is when they were having not so good seasons. Now they’re having a good season I can imagine it’s going to be that much louder and that much tougher place to play.”

“They’re similar in some ways, but the offense is different,” Finnegan said. “Bowe is having an excellent year. He’s a big strong, physical guy who can get open. But you look at their team and they run the ball extremely well. They run the ball 40–50 times a game, so you have to be on your toes a lot in play action.”
