But the images that stick are of something much more impressive, much more meaningful to this team going forward. Whatever happens the final two weeks of this season, playoffs or not, the Chiefs have found themselves a quarterback that has everyone’s confidence in a much different way than a year ago.

“He’s got some qualities that are very endearing to me, that I want in my quarterback,” coach Todd Haley says. “One of those is just the mental toughness, fortitude, and it showed up in a tough two weeks for him.”
