Chiefs Bars Outside Of Kansas City

by Chiefs

The Village Pour House in NYC is the official home for Chiefs fans (and Arrowhead Addict readers) on the East Coast. Where is your Chiefs bar?

Our Chiefs Bars section is growing larger and larger by the week! We now have multiple bars listed across 17 states!

This week’s special request comes from reader John. John is going to be in the Boston area for the Chiefs/Chargers game with his son and they would love to find a Chiefs friendly bar to watch the game at. Can anyone help him out?

-Patrick

Welcome to our weekly “Chiefs Bars” post. Each week we re-post this thread so that our readers can continue to post in the comments about where they watch the Chiefs. We will slowly create the definitive resource for out of town Chiefs fans.

Be sure to check out our Chiefs Bars page for a cleaner and more organized collection of this information. If you notice your Chiefs bar isn’t listed, leave us the info in the comments and we will add it.

I know we have a lot of out of towners that read this site so I thought we ought to get a thread going that talks about good places to watch the Chiefs outside of Kansas City.

When I first moved to New York I had a lot of trouble finding a place to watch the Chiefs where I wasn’t the only guy in a red jersey. Fortunately I started dating a girl from KC and she told me about a Chiefs bar in the East Village called The Village Pour House.

There are a lot of Kansas/Missouri transplants out here and the Pour House used to be packed on Sundays. Since the Chiefs fell on hard times attendance has been down but this season we are slowly seeing our numbers rise.

More after the jump:

This is "The Dugout" where Chiefs fans in NYC catch the game on 3 HD TV's. The Pour House even pumps the commentary in for us so we always know what is going on.

If we have any readers in NYC, sound off in the comments and get accounted for. I’d love to meet you.

For our readers outside of NYC, tell us where you watch the Chiefs. Chiefs fans are the best in the world and there should be a KC Chiefs bar in every major city in America. =)

Let’s start a Chiefs bar network right here on AA. Post your Chiefs spot in the comments and we’ll do some features on each spot so other Addicts in your area can join you to root on the best damn team in the NFL!

Never miss a chance to get your fix! Follow Arrowhead Addict on Twitter and be sure to like our Facebook page.

Any kc spot in phoenix? Plz help

does anyone know of a bar I could watch the chiefs game at near Indianapolis or Bloomington Indiana?

Jamaal Charles agreed on a new 5 yr deal!!

Anyone know of a Chiefs bar in Baltimore??

As DC Grodin pointed out above... Grevey’s Sports Bar 8130 Arlington Boulevard Falls Church, VA 22042-1025 Mackey’s Pub House 320 23rd St. South Arlington, VA 22202

I've been looking for a KC sports bar in NC for a long time. I found the listing on here for Runinos in Cary, NC and decided to make the 1.5 hour drive with another Chiefs buddy of mine this week. Great environment! 40 or so KC fans were loud as we dismantled the Seahawks!

Patrick, Thanks for the reply. I will be there around 3pmish to catch the rest of the 1pm games. Plus, I can only take so much site seeing in Times Square with my wife....I am sure it is the same as the last time we were in the city..haha! Cheers, Mike

Any Houstonians on this blog? Looking for a bar in Houston where Chiefs fans can cheer in peace.

I am coming into NYC tomorrow for an interview on Monday. I was looking to watch the Chiefs game and I was wondering if the Village Pour House in Manhattan is still a good place to watch the game? It is a Chiefs bar, correct? What time should I get there for a 4pm start? (to get a good seat in front of a good TV) And do they still have the announcers on instead of music? Thanks, Mike

Mike, Yeah the Pour House is where you want to be. I would show up around 3:30 or so. It will be crowded and the Chiefs section will likely have some other fans in it watching the end of their game. We'll kind of hang out and wait until they move. We are usually in out seats by 4. They do still play the sound for all of our games and the crowds have been pretty good. I'll be there pretty early. Just look for the guy with a computer and that will be me. Looking forward to meeting you.

Alton, Illinois (near St. Louis) The Alton Sports Tap is great. Flat screens are everywhere, and they will have 3-4 areas set up for games, so you are sitting with fellow Chief fans. Cold beer, $4 for a basket of wings, the wairesses call you "honey." I've gone there and joined a table of fans I hadn't met yet and had a great time. www.altonsportstap.com/

Anyone going to the Chiefs vs. Broncos game here in Denver? I have quite a few people here already coming, but any Cheifs fan is more than welcome to join us!! Show these donkey fans how to tailgate!!

i live in sedalia a hour away from kc me and my buds want to hit a bar up in the independence area for the game, some grub and of course few drinks.. some help plaese used to hit fox and hound out of bis. some answers please

How about the DC area????

I live in San Diego and there is a great bar in Mission Beach called Boardwalk. It's a KU Jayhawks bar, but they also have a good following of Chiefs fans, too. The food and drinks menu is really good! Plus it's steps from the beach!

The Frosty Gator in Idaho Falls, ID. Born and raised in Kansas, Chiefs, Royals, KU fan for life. I am the manager there and trying my best to convert everyone here in eastern Idaho.

Moved to Fort Myers, FL 2 years ago. We're about 50-60 members strong and have our own room at Leapin' Lizards Bar and Grille in Cape Coral. Food specials, 4 HD tvs with piped in audio and FREE SHOTS when the Chiefs score!! If anybody is in the area check us out. GO CHIEFS

Hey i am a huge chiefs fan, i moved to new orleans about six months ago. Everyone down here is still on the saints bandwagon and can barely find a place to watch the game! Please let me know if you know anywhere in NOLA area that chiefs fans gather. There is power in numbers!

I've been to the Pour House with Paddy. There were a surprising amount of Chiefs fans in there. Nice to see. If any of you Brooklyners out there refuse to go into Manhattan (I know there are plenty of you) I've been cultivating a small presence at The Red Star in Greenpoint for a few years now. It is by no means a Chiefs bar, but we get respect in there. I can't imagine there are more Chiefs fans at any other bar in Brooklyn.

Dallas-Fort Worth area Chiefs fans, come join the Chiefs Fans of Dallas at Wizards Sports Cafe in Richardson! We tailgate in the parking lot and it's about as fun a day you can get outside of Arrowhead Stadium! 747 South Central Expressway Richardson, TX 75080-7410 (972) 235-0371

If you're in the Corona/Riverside CA area go to the Buffalo Wild Wings in Corona at The Crossings Shopping Center off the 15 fwy. There's a few of us there and would like to see some more.

This is for all the DC metro fans...I only make it out to this bar every couple of weeks but Grevey's in Falls Church, VA has the largest gatherings of Chiefs fans around the Beltway(15-20 max). Decent drink specials on Sundays. Not a Chiefs-only bar but by far the most Chiefs fans I've been around for a game in DC/VA. Mackey's Pub House in Crystal City/Arlington gets 4-8 people but it's a Vikings bar (maybe not so bad considering the Vikings may be looking to baseball season already. Mackey's is also a big Mizzou watch party place so it works out well for the entire weekend. Grevey's Sports Bar 8130 Arlington Boulevard Falls Church, VA 22042-1025 Mackey's Pub House 320 23rd St. South Arlington, VA 22202

Ok - long shot. London, UK. Relocated, but still bleed KC red. Anyone have any tips? Fingers crossed...

In southeastern Connecticut, Stash's Cafe in New London, CT is the place to catch games. Good wings, cold beer, lots of tv's, good eye-candy. This area is home to the oldest US Navy Submarine base so you get a few wearers of the red and gold in there from time to time who are away from home serving our country. The owner is very good about getting you a spot to watch the game, unlike alot of other Sunday Ticket bars around here who really don't care.

From K.C, MO and just moved down to south florida ( Boca Raton area). Does anybody know of a Chiefs bar nearby in S Palm beach or Broward county??

We, in Royal Palm Beach go to The Sandbar. Just a few fans, but the owner is from Independence and lets us have the Party Room. It's a private room to get loud and yell obscenities.

The only place the Texans have ever belonged was in Dallas! i'll be at the village pour house tomorrow for the first time, i'm excited to watch the game with some fellow chiefs fans

Can't wait to see you buddy.

My son and I and sometimes my wife go to "Just Georges" to catch the Chiefs games also. We usually sit in a booth because my son and wife like the little TV in the booth, sometimes you can actually hear the sound from those things. I may be the only fan in Virginia with a Brian Waters autographed jersey. I got that at a charity auction at BWW on PA. Guess We'll all have to yell louder next time. One of the best things about watching the game at JG's this season has been antagonizing opposing team's fans.

How about Colorado Springs? I've asked all the guys at work and they say we have Vikings, Steelers, Packers, raiders, and every bar supports the donks, but no Chiefs heavy bars. Help a brother out here!

The Last Steep - Crested Butte, CO. Owned by two Kansas Citians. Chefs stuff on the walls.

I've been there before! Was only in Crested Butte briefly, but I got a lot of joy out of that flag waving outside the front door.

It's not an official Chief's bar, but a few of us Chiefs fans in the Tampa, FL area meet at: Champps (International Mall) 2223 N. Westshore Tampa, FL 33607 We have a local Meet-Up group for those in Tampa who are interested in hooking up with us area Chiefs fans. http://www.meetup.com/Tampa-Area-Chief-Fans/

How about a gathering place in Columbus, Ohio? I'm a Chiefs season ticket holder but only get to a few games a year. Went up to Cleveland this year, and heading to Indy for the beat down this weekend.

Still looking for a bar in my current city, Wilmington, NC. If anyone knows of a place close, please reply to this post. Thanks. My hometown is just north of Dallas, TX in Plano. I would go watch the game every Sunday at Longshots Sports Grille in Addison. If you're in that area, it's a great place to go watch the Chiefs. They have raffles during halftime giving out gift certificates and Chiefs gear. Very cool place with great food.

I dwell at a little place called "Just georges sports bar" in Virginia beach,Va. It has about 20 big screen t.v's and they show every game every week! There's about 10 of us Chiefs fans there and we are by far the loudest, especially me. They call me " over excited chiefs fan" It is connected to a huge seafood buffet called capt. georges ,were you can eat all the crablegs, prime rib and all the things you like for only 20$.mix that w/ two pitchers of beer and that makes for a great sunday!!

Hey everyone, first comment, but been a long-time reader... As a lifetime Chiefs fan, (not really long as I am only 22), I have never been in region for Chiefs games, so I always go to different bars to watch Chiefs games every week. Here in Grand Rapids, MI the best place I have found to go is Uccellos Sports Bar, they broadcast all the games on HD projectors, and so they always have the Chiefs up and playing. I don't believe there are many Chiefs fans in the area, but if any need a spot to watch the game, I am there every Sunday

In case my response above gets lost in the shuffle: Portland, OR D's Bar between 67th and 68th on NE Sandy. It is an Iowa Hawkeye bar and a Chiefs bar. Specials during Chiefs games, so so food but great prices, and usually 2 of 3 and sometimes all 3 TV's on the Chiefs game with the sound on high.

I'm in New Orleans and I have not found a Chiefs bar. My neighborhood bar always puts the game on for me but the Saints obviously have first priority on the large t.v.'s at the bar. Free shots when the Saints or LSU score a TD. Live Bait Bar & Grill 200 Old Hammond Highway Bucktown if you have a better spot, please let me know as this is NOT an ideal Chiefs bar, the Saints fans crowd the place.

Howie's in Albuquerque, NM. A group of us started going there about 6 years ago, it is owned by a Packer Fan. But over the years we have taken over the back of the bar. The owner bought a big screen for the Chiefs games and let us decorate the place.

There is a bar in south philly PA called big Charlie's Saloon that i go to. It's a family owned bar with a ton of chiefs fans.

I was just in Philly this last weekend and stopped by that place. A guy that went to my high school (son of Al Saunders) did a documentary on that play and won an Emmy. They have it sitting behind the bar. Pretty cool place and super nice people.

Looking for a Chiefs gamewatch in Boston? Anyone want to try to make Game On a Chiefs bar on Sundays? It's where both Kansas and Kansas State basketball gamewatches were last season.

I'll be in Boston near Dedham this weekend any suggestions on where to watch the Chargers game?

My wife and I moved to Boston a couple of years ago from Kansas City; there aren't any "Chiefs" bars, but lots of places have the NFL ticket. Typically we watch at UNOs on Harvard Square. There's always lots of seating and fans for different games come out, so it doesn't feel like you're the underdog. We'll be there on Sunday wearing our red!

Any one know of any Chiefs bars in Minneapolis, MN

i go to a bar in NYC at Ave B and 6th st. there's about 10 of us there now, but i'd love to get everyone we can into one bar.

Bobby, You should check out the Village Pour House. There is usually about 25-30 of us there. It is a rockin good time!
