Matt Cassel Named AFC Offensive Player Of The Month

facebooktwitterreddit

Kansas City Chiefs QB Matt Cassel is finally getting noticed.

For the first time since Steve Deberg did it in 1990,(h/t Josh Looney) a Chiefs QB has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month.

Cassel has had an outstanding November, throwing for 1,111 yards, 12 TD’s and 1 interception. He has also had an average QB rating of 110.9.

For me, however, the most impressive stat is Cassel’s completion percentage. Over the course of November, Cassel has averaged a 62.7 completion percentage. Much, much better.

Congratulations to Matt Cassel. He has worked hard and improved himself and he deserves this recognition.

Now let’s hope he goes out and continues to light it up this December and January.

And February.
