Source: harvardsportsanalysis.com

Ahhh Thanksgiving. Is there anything more American than Thanksgiving? Overindulgence. Booze. Football.

Specifically terrible football featuring the Detroit Lions.

Year after year, teams wait for the schedule to come out to see if they will be the lucky team that gets to pound the Lions in front of a national audience.

Unfortunately for the Chiefs, they won’t get to pound anyone until Sunday when they travel to Seattle.

Still, there is Chiefs news and we’ll have a few post for you to peruse throughout the day before you slowly slip into a food coma.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone and here is your Morning Fix!

“This is a tough stretch,” coach Todd Haley told the Chiefs’ official website. “Like I said (Sunday), this is a marathon and this is the true grind-it-out period of the season where I think teams are going to start to define themselves as good teams, in-between teams and not-so-good teams.”

“Owners will continue to thrive financially at the expense of serious job losses among your constituents and major lost tax revenue,” Mawae stated in the letter.

“There was a day that came up that he finally did get his chance, and it’s worth telling you. It was on timing day, a pro day at the school. All the workouts were done and Matt hadn’t thrown yet and he was going to stage a throwing session and show the scouts what he could do. Fortunately, about half the representatives from the teams stayed.
