The Kansas City Chiefs will be alone in first place regardless of the outcome of tonight’s Chargers/Broncos matchup on Monday Night Football but they should still be very interested in the outcome.

Reluctantly, Chiefs fans should be rooting for the Broncos tonight.

Sorry I just threw up in my mouth a little.

Put it this way, we should root AGAINST the Chargers not FOR the Broncos.

The fact of the matter is that San Diego is a much more dangerous than the Broncos at this point. The Chargers, with Philip Rivers at QB, probably have a better chance than the Broncos at catching the Chiefs for the division title. After tonight, the Chargers will go to Indianapolis to take on the Colts so a loss to Denver would likely be a death blow to San Diego’s season.

I’ll be watching the game closely tonight hoping to see the Chargers bungle their way to a 4-6 record. Feel free to join me  and use this post as an open thread to talk about the game.
