Checking Up On Eric Berry’s Rookie Campaign

Here is some food for thought before the evening ends.

Back on August 10, 2010 I posted some rookie safety stats in order to gauge just how well Eric Berry has to be in order to have a decent rookie campaign. Here they are again:

Kerry Rhodes; Year 2005, 16 Games, 85 Tackles, 1 Sack, 1 Interception

Jarrad Page, Year 2006, 16 Games 30 tackles, 1 Sack, 3 Interceptions

We are eight (8) games into the season and here are his current stats:

8 games 45 Tackles, 2 Sacks, 2 interceptions 1 FF

I don’t know about you, but I’m impressed.  Once he gets better in pass protection, this guy is going to be one of the best safeties, if not the best, in the entire league.  How can you not root for this guy?  Have a good night.
