Magee played in 15 games last year, registering six solo tackles and two sacks. He played in two of the Chiefs’ five games so far in 2010 and had two tackles.
“You’re going to have some losses you don’t like and aren’t fun and are difficult,” Chiefs coach Todd Haley said. “The important thing is that good teams don’t let those losses be a stumbling block. They allow them to be a springboard to bigger and better things and improvement.”
“The intimidation factor is gone. If I’m an offensive guy, I’m not going to hesitate,” Pearson said. “If an offensive guy does it, it’s kind of glorified. It can’t just be one-sided.
“It’s football. Your job is to make sure that guy doesn’t catch the ball. You should be able to make contact and make a play. … It’s really going to change the way those guys on the back end think and react on the ball.”
Facing the possibility that neither David Garrard nor Trent Edwards might be able to practice today, the Jaguars re-signed veteran quarterback Todd Bouman on Tuesday and are looking at the possibility of signing Patrick Ramsey.
