Tyson Jackson Returns To Practice

facebooktwitterreddit

After injuring himself in the season opener, Chiefs DE Tyson Jackson has returned to practice.

Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star reports that Jackson participated in defensive line drills with a brace on his left knee.

Jackson returns at a strange time, mainly because DE Shaun Smith was playing so well in his stead. To be fair, Jackson was having a pretty good game against the Chargers when he was injured, though it was a small sample size.

More after the jump.

Jackson will likely get his starting roll back but don’t be surprised to see the Chiefs rotate heavily at DE. I expect to see Jackson, Smith and Gilberry all get plenty of work against the Colts.

One thing is for sure, it is good to know that if Jackson struggles in his first game back that the Chiefs have some solid players that can step up and stop the bleeding.

The Chiefs will release their first injury report of the week later today.
