Still No Respect For The Undefeated Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs are 2-0, have allowed only 28 points in two games, and are playing at home against a winless opponent this Sunday.

And they are the underdog.

After 10 wins in three seasons it was evident that the Chiefs were going to have to earn their respect on the field in 2010. Apparently knocking off the defending AFC West Champions at home and the Cleveland Browns, a team that beat them just a few months ago, on the road isn’t enough.

Kansas City are underdogs in Vegas as well as over at ESPN where only 2 of 8 “experts” picked the Chiefs to win Sunday. You would think they might have learned after 6 of them picked the Chiefs to fall to the Browns last weekend. I guess not.

It is a shame that these young Chiefs aren’t being credit but the team shouldn’t let it bother them. If anything, being disrespected by Vegas and by the experts should motivate them.

The Chiefs aren’t likely to be favored any time soon. Even if they do beat the Niners they will face the Colts and the Texans on the road following their bye week. If they manage to win one of those two game folks will be forced to take notice.
