Andy Studebaker confirmed Thursday what we told you on Tuesday; that the Kansas City Chiefs have indeed extended his contract.

While Studebaker would not confirm the length or details of the contract he did say that he hoped to play in Kansas City a long time.

How long?

“Hopefully I’ll retire here,” Studebaker said.

The move is another indication that the Chiefs believe in Studebaker’s progress and that he can eventually take over at OLB for veteran Mike Vrabel.

With Tamba Hali the unquestioned starter on the other side of the field, the Chiefs may be set at OLB for year’s to come.
