Report: Chiefs Extend Studebaker’s Contract

facebooktwitterreddit

Fox Sports is reporting that the Kansas City Chiefs have extended the contract of linebacker Andy Studebaker.

Studebaker is currently the primary backup to Mike Vrabel but the linebacker out of Wheaton has shown tremendous progress over his last 2 seasons with the Chiefs. With Vrabel nearing the end of his career, the Chiefs are apparently investing in their future with Studebaker.

From Fox Sports:

"The Kansas City Chiefs have extended the contract of OLB Andy Studebaker, a source told FOXSports.com. Terms of the deal were not immediately known. Studebaker was signed through 2010 and carried a base salary of $470,000."

No confirmation or details yet from the Chiefs. Keep an eye out for that.
