In his daily press conference yesterday, Kansas City Chiefs coach Todd Haley was asked who his team voted as their captains. Leadership is very important to Haley’s philosophy so I was pretty interested to hear who had been chosen.

His response?

“Brian Waters, Thomas Jones, Matt Cassel, Mike Vrabel, John McGraw. And I’m going to designate a captain each week.”

These are the logical choices but I think it is pretty interesting that Haley plans to designate a new captain on a weekly basis. I like the idea because it sends a message to the players that everyone is important and that at any time, they may be expected to lead.

Who do you think will be the special designated captain this week for the game against San Diego?
