I really think that you are only picking the Ravens so you can be pissed that the chiefs didn't pick those 2nd rounders and you can say "see this is how a successful franchise drafts. I was right!". In my opinion their D is getting old, Flacco is overrated and had a good year when nobody had film on him, and they will stay as a good team but not great. I can see them winning their division, but I just don't see them making a deep run in the playoffs. I also think everyone is off on the Jets. People just saw what they did in the playoffs and ignored their season. They backed into the playoffs with a tiebreaker finishing at 9-7. Two of those wins were against the Colts and Bengels at the end of the year when they were resting their starters since they both had the playoffs locked up. They won't luck out like that again. I think the Dolphins are the sleeper team in that division. Watch out! So take that Fat Matt, hahahaha.

boy Double D sure frosts my milk sometimes

I'm really liking the Texans this year, but I think they need one more year before they upset the Colts and take the division. Other than that, a pretty nice set of picks.

You're probably right about the CDolts/Texans. Next year is more realistic for a changing of the guard there. But a changing of the guard is coming, I think we can both agree on that.

I definitely agree. And it's not so much that the Colts are going backwards. I think Peyton is still at the top of his prime, their defense is probably the best he's ever played with, and he's got a few weapons to play with. But the Texans are improving, and they're improving fast.

Big Matt, once again, you're almost 100% wrong. Picking the skins to win a wild card? No. Not happening. Going against the Chiefs to win the division? What a poser! I really don't like anything you have to say. You picked the colts and pats to be wild card teams. REALLY? REALLY? REALLY FAT MATT YOU THINK THEY'RE both going to lose their divisions? I refuse to read another one of your articles.

wow. Its personal opinion. You dont have to get so butt hurt over it.

If you don't read them, then you can't comment on them either. Actually, the more I think about it, the more I kind of like that idea. You go man!

Annnnnnnd you're banned. Congratulations. Why on earth people act like Jung Guns I will never know.

Whoa I just got home from work and saw these Jung Guns comments. That guy hates me! I think he's been hating me for a while, actually. He really didn't like my siding with the media. I never even got a chance to tell him I'm actually kind of skinny.

We had your back brother. 8)

Yeah thanks fellas. Chiefs nerds defending their fellow Chiefs nerd. The thing about comments like that is they really reflect poorly on the commenter more than anything. I mean, how weird would that stuff look if you were just a casual viewer checkin' out the site? You'd think Jung Guns was crazy. I'd actually love to have him commenting on every one of my posts. Makes me seem more sane, rational, and sympathetic. We should do a podcast together!

well THANK GOD someone has the Chiefs winning the division besides "Homer" Murawski . Its not a pipe dream, good post joker!!!!

Big Matt, I'd called those some pretty palatable picks. Part ways with you on the AFC West though - personally not on the "San Diego as shoe in favorite in a weak division" bandwagon - the way I see it Chargers really haven't done much of anything to improve. AFC West will be up for grabs.

I actually almost picked the Raiders to win the AFC West, but I didn't know if I'd ever live it down. Anything could happen in the west, but in the end the Chargers are the only team with a good QB (albeit a hick dunce).

Rivers is easily rattled. He also go into the season without his pro bowl WR and elite LT Marcus McNeil. Gone also is NT Jamal Williams. Merriman's return as an impact player is iffy at best. This team is a mess and I say anybody who thinks otherwise is just whistling past the graveyard. There is blood in the water and for one I am dying to see whether the Chiefs, and hell the Raiders too, did enough this offseason to get into Rivers' head 4 times this season. Once the rest of the NFL catches on, it's ovuh. I see this shaping up to be the year where it all unravels for the Bolts - which means of course new head coach in 2011, rebuilding, etc . . . a little bit of drool is showing isn't it? Sorry about that.

You know you actually make a lot of really good points there. It would be awesome to see the Chargers wilt, and it definitely could happen. The thing is, I'm positive the Broncos will suck. The raiders and Chiefs will both be a little better, but I'm having a hard time seeing either winning the division. The Chargers are the last man standing for me. We could like 3 7-9 teams.

that should read "we could have like three 7-9 teams".

AFC East: Jets AFC North:Ravens AFC South: Colts AFC West: Chiefs (ESPN magazine validates this choice!) NFC East: Cowboys NFC North: Vikings NFC South: Saints NFC West: 49ers AFC Wild Cards: (2) Texans, Patriots NFC Wild Cards(2) Packers, Falcons AFC Champion: Jets NFC Champion: Vikings Super Bowl Champion: Vikings Coach of the Year: Mike Singletary MVP: Aaron Rogers Offensive Player of the Year: Chris Johnson Defensive Player of the Year: Darrelle Revis Offensive Rookie of the Year: Ryan Matthews Defensive Rookie of the Year: Eric Berry Comeback: Wes Welker (Tough time, I almost chose Jeff George)

Green Bay not even making the playoffs? That might be your boldest prediction of all. Can't see that happening.

I agree Kyle, I had Green Bay taking it all.

Not hatin' on Green Bay, I just sort of forgot about them.

Kyle, He "forgot" about them. REALLY? REALLY FAT MATT? You're retarded how can you forget about the Green Bay Packers. No more posts from you this week, PLEASE!

It is impossible for A defensive lineman to win the ROY award. It takes those guys at least 7-15 years before they figure it out, right?

I love it. Nicely done, Spencer. I'm actually really hoping Suh kills it just to dispel that myth Chiefs fans have been clinging to these past few years.
