Sheffield Working Out With Team

facebooktwitterreddit

Kansas City Chiefs rookie linebacker Cameron Sheffield suffered a very scary looking neck injury in the team’s preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles Friday night. It was a very frightening scene that saw the first year player carried off the field strapped to a stretcher.

It was the second time in as many weeks a Chiefs player suffered a serious neck injury. CB/S Maurice Leggett also spent some time in the hospital after injuring his neck in the team’s second preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Yesterday we got reports that Sheffield was out of the hospital and today, when coach Haley met with the media, he told reporters Sheffield was in the facility working out.

Though the Chiefs have dealt with some serious looking injuries this preseason, on the whole they have been fairly lucky.

Hopefully that luck will carry with them in to the regular season.
