Chiefs and Falcons Tied At The Half 3-3

The first half of the first preseason game is in the books. The Chiefs didn’t look great but they didn’t look terrible either. I would say they look average so far and for this team, that is a step in the right direction.

Here are some notes:

*Matt Cassel didn’t really get a chance to throw very much.He had very few passes down field before checking out.

*No catches for Bowe.

*Thomas Jones couldn’t get anything going through the middle of the O-line.He left the game with a stinger.

* When Jamaal Charles checked in, the offense moved the ball very effectively. Charles looks to be picking up right where he left off.

* Dexter McCluster looked electric running the ball.

*The defense got ran all over on the first drive. Then they stiffened up.

* Ryan Succup struggled missing 2 FG’s though they were from beyond 5o yards.

* Brodie Croyle looked very sharp.
