Chiefs vs. Falcons Is Tomorrow!

facebooktwitterreddit

The time has come my friends. We have anguished together but the wait is over. The Kansas City Chiefs are going to take the field in a

real

exhibition football game against the Atlanta Falcons.

While the preseason games, especially early preseason games, can be a bit of a bore for fans of deep teams, the Chiefs have a stable of young players with potential star power battling it out for playing time. While we may not see a ton of Matt Cassel, Jamaal Charles and Thomas Jones tomorrow night, we should get a heavy dose of Dexter McCluster, Javier Arenas, Jon Asamoah and Tony Moeaki, if his ankle is feeling better.

Last preseason, it was evident that the Chiefs had a lot of problems on both sides of the ball. While these exhibition games can be deceiving (Corey Mays looked like a stud last preseason), they can be illuminating in a number of ways. You simply have to be watching.

I encourage you to stop by AA Friday night and watch the contest with the other Addicts. We will have some form of chat going here so don’t miss it.

Lastly, I know some of you, like me, are out of towners. In years past this would make it impossible for you to see the games. Thanks to technology and the NFL, that is no longer the case.

The best and most legal way for you to watch the game, is to purchase the NFL’s preseason package on NFL.com. It costs $40 and you will have live streaming access to all of the NFL’s preseason contests. It seems like a lot but it is really only $10 a game. If you were going to a bar to watch a game on Sunday Ticket, you would spend at least that much. I know it hurts to pay for games that don’t matter, especially in this economy. If you can’t afford it, you can’t afford it. If that is the case, make doubly sure you stop by AA Friday night because the rest of us will be watching and we’ll be able to give you an idea of what is going on.

For those who can’t afford it or refuse to pay it, I’m going to throw you a bone. This is the site I used last offseason to watch the preseason games. Keep an eye on it in the hours leading up to the game. If there is a link to the game out there on the net, chances are this site will post it. Be warned. These feeds are not legal, they are often of poor quality and they usually end up getting shut down at some point. In no way does AA encourage illegal pirating or watching of NFL games. We are simply passing along some information here.

During Friday’s chat, please refrain from posting links to the game here on AA. If you want to share some information with another reader, email it to them.
