My Chief Concerns: Employee Theft:

AUTHOR: jeremyriversideca | IN: Chiefs | COMMENTS: 21 Comments |

I never ever thought that I would be a victim of a crime. But yesterday I found out I was. While balancing my business accounts I realized a few checks were missing.  After checking the bank’s ledger I realized those missing checks had been written out to an employee of mine who had forged my name.  I just lost thousands of dollars.  It is a really crappy feeling. True story.

While I was dealing with the bank and police I could not help but wonder if the Hunts have ever felt this way too.  Since I am pretty busy cleaning up the abovementioned mess, I am going to make this post brief.  What follows is a list of players who have stolen money from the Chiefs, or the Chiefs have stolen money from them. Feel free to add your own players.

Players Who Stole the Chiefs’ Money

Kendrell Bell (Overpaid by a landslide)

Brett Perriman (Marred by injury though)

Bam Morris (Never produced)

Eric Warfield (Drank all of the Chiefs money)

Players Who Were Robbed By the Chiefs

Priest Holmes (Delivered far more than he was paid)

Tony Gonzalez (He was worth every penny he was paid times ten)

Derrick Thomas (The Chiefs should still be paying him)

Am I missing someone?

Very sorry to hear about the theft, Im assuming all in your family is well. Jeremy we are on opposite sides of auto accidents, but we both know what kind of a loss that a loss of life is.

Anyway Im still laughing that you have Eric Warfield on the list, because I didnt see him at first and was furiously typing it when my eye caught that.

Hang in there brother, I cannot wait to meet you at a game this year.

completely unrelated note Yahoo is reporting Mount Cody is way out of shape and wont even start training camp until he loses some weight and gets his cardio up….still mad we didnt draft his fat a$$?

  3. Randy5k-Arrowhead Adventurer says:

    Thanks for report checked

  4. Cody says:

    Tyson Jackson = overpaid

  5. merlin says:

Eric Warfield wasn’t a high draft pick, so I don’t think he belongs on the ’stole’ list. Kendrell Bell is my poster child for overpaid. Good call on him.

  6. IISaiNtII says:

Priest was definitely not overpaid, other than that I agree.
LJ could go on the overpaid list

Sorry about the theft, but hey, at least you caught it!

  7. mark in Ga. says:

Can’t think of his name, he was a free agent tackle that we got from the raiders, I believ and when he left, he went to mile high. Had all the ability in the world when he wanted to but that wasn’t very often.

He was here near the end of the DT era.

I believe you’re thinking of Chester McGlockton.

Man I was excited about him. Didn’t work out. Although he did throw that fumble recovery behind his head as we was going out of bounds that one time, which was pretty hilarious.

    • Double D says:

      Chester McGlockton?

  8. Randy5k-Arrowhead Adventurer says:

that dumbass Eric Warfiled, couldnt play when he was sober, he just pushed people down.

  9. The Centaur says:

    how about napoleon harris?

  10. deespeede says:

Eric warfiled was good. I wish people would get off back because alot of players we’ve had sucked like the OT we got in 2002 or whatever year. Plus to me we had no better CB while he wa there.

    • Patrick Allen says:

Didn’t Warfield make the Pro Bowl the year we went 13-3? Had a bunch of picks.

      Then he fizzled out.

  11. Patrick Allen says:

    How about Ty Law?

We signed him about 2 years too late.

  12. robert rice says:

Ryan Sims stole a truck load of money from teh Chiefs. And we all know Jared Allen deserved to be paid more, and should still be a Chief

  13. Double D says:

Here’s 3 more for our gallery of thieves:

    Elvis Grbac
    Lin Elliott
    Junior Siavi

One more guy who deserved more than he got:
T Rich (where would Priest and many others have been without him?)

  14. bullhauler says:

    Percy Snow-line backer?

  15. Jax says:

Kendrell Bell was a stud for the steelers….but we ran a 4-3 and the steelers ran a 3-4. Bell was an ROLB pass rushing specialist…we dropped him into coverage. Carl…..I hate you.

  16. Double D says:

Rich Gannon also belongs on the list of all-time underappreciated not just in terms of money but even moreso by the decision to deny him a legitimate, well-earned shot at post season glory. Makes me fume every time I think about it.
