Chambers was far and away the Chiefs best receiver last year after arriving in midseason. But he will be 32 next month, so there has to be concern over when his play will decline. The maddeningly inconsistent Bowe may have already reached his potential. The best chances for improvement lie with two off-season acquisitions: free-agent Urban and the speedy rookie McCluster.

The new leader of the Bills is a man of principle, a man of convictions, a man of faith.

“I am who I am,” Gailey said. “I go about my business. I try to make decisions that are best for the team. I’m old school.”

“The best way I can describe Chan Gailey,” says former Georgia Tech athletic director Dave Braine, “is he is old school.”

“He’s an old-time football coach,” said Herman Edwards, Gailey’s boss with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2008.

Old school, of course, is not sexy. It’s not trendy. It’s not hot.

And that’s not what Bills fans coveted when the team set out to find a new head coach in January. They were dreaming of Mike Shanahan, Jon Gruden and Bill Cowher.

Colzie, who is entering his third season as the Wolves assistant head coach, defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator, will head to Kansas City Chiefs training camp in St. Joseph, Mo., where he’ll work with Chiefs secondary coach and Hall of Famer Emmitt Thomas, as well as renowned defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel.

Colzie will remain with the Chiefs through their first preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons on Aug. 13 at the Georgia Dome, meaning he’ll miss West Georgia’s first week of preseason practice.

urban is gonna come up big on some third downs and when matt really needs a completion

Im just praying that D Bowe will catch the ball this year. Thats all the offense needs to be much improved is for our reciever to do what they are actually getting paid to do and that is catch the football

I don't know about anybody else but I'm taking that training camp roster and trying to figure out who the 53 are going to be.

Follow up question, do you think Page is in the final 53?

i thought lance long was the poor mans wes welker?????

Realistically any slot receiver that's not Wes Welker is a poor mans Wes Welker. lol

I am not convinced that Urban is going to be in the mix. I need to see more, is he an Ed McCaffrey type? If so, that could be a big help. We need a Mr. Realible. I think McCluster is going to be exciting to watch and he needs to get some touches because of his speed, he makes the Chiefs a much faster team. DBowe may be past his prime, but he is amamzing at times, and should have a bigger year b/c teams will have more to deal with from the Chiefs offense. Chambers was such a great pick-up. I am hoping to see Cassel air it out in 2010! The Chiefs are going to have an explosive offense with a balanced attack!

People like to call Urban the poor mans Wes Welker.

I honestly believe a year or 2 from now McCluster will develope into our #1 reciever. i know hes not necessarily a "prototypical" reciever- 6'3" 220lbs -but i think hes got the talent

McCluster could develop into our best offensive weapon, period.

Bowe, Chambers, McCluster and Urban with Long filling in...this group will be much improved. They will make each other better, and Moeaki will spread them out too. They all have had more practice with Cassel. Offense will score points...it's the D that look to struggle.
