Chiefs DE Wallace Gilberry will be hosting a football camp this weekend for youngsters in Alabama.

This will be Gilberry’s 3rd year in the league and while most Chiefs fans may not have know much about Wallace prior to last season, Gilberry made sure to get their attention.

Though he served the defense in a backup roll, Gilberry showed a talent for rushing the passer, coming in second on the team in sacks with 4.5. Only starter Tamba Hali had more.

While it isn’t especially difficult to be the 2nd best pass rusher on a team as terrible at getting to the QB as the Chiefs, Gilberry showed he is improving and provides nice depth for the KC defensive line.

It is nice to see that Wallace is giving back to the community during his very short time off from football. His camp will be at Sellars Stadium in Robertsdale, Alabama this Friday and Saturday.
