Tony Gonzalez’s Plane Has Close Call

Philadelphia Eagles v Atlanta Falcons

They say flying is the safest way to travel but that doesn’t help my fear that it would be a terrifying way to die.

Former Chiefs TE and future hall of famer, Tony Gonzalez got a major scare when his plane had a temporary engine failure and had to make an emergency landing. From Tony’s twitter page:

Long day but SO glad to be home!! We took off and the right engine went out. Had to make an emergency landing. Its a good day to be alive!!

Yikes!

The plan took off from Hartsfield-Jackson airport bound for LA when “the captain suspected possible engine trouble.”

We’re glad Tony is ok and that the pilot took the precautions to make sure everyone on the plane was safe.
