Report: Patriots Release LB Adalius Thomas

Baltimore Ravens v New England Patriots - Wild Card Round

Big news, Addicts! Adam Schefter is reporting that the Patriots have released LB Adalius Thomas.

Filed to ESPN: Patriots released LB Adalius Thomas. Only question was when. And the when is now. Thomas now free to sign elsewhere.

Thomas has played ILB and OLB in New England. Scott Pioli should be on the phone right now with Thomas’ agent but he may pass because of the recent attitude issues Thomas had in New England.

If I were Pioli, I would roll the dice here. The Chiefs need all the help they can get at the LB position and Thomas is a tested veteran who could use a fresh start.

This would be a smart move for the Chiefs.

What do you think, Addicts? Should Scott Pioli sign Thomas?
