Chiefs Select Jon Asamoah With The 68th Overall Pick

The Chiefs have turned their attention to the offensive line and drafted Jon Asamoah, G out of Illinois. Andrew is seriously angry about this pick so I am going to cover it. Personally, I really like the pick. I would feel better if the Chiefs had a nose tackle wrapped up but this is a smart move and a great value pick. Asamoah is a very good G prospect. This kid is considered by many to be the 2nd best G in the entire draft.

He provides the Chiefs with options along their line. They now have 3 very good guards in Ryan Lilja, Brian Waters and Jon Asamoah. If the Chiefs decide Asamoah can start, they could always move Brian Waters to center. Regardless, they now have some depth on he line which they badly needed.
