Eric Berry Was In Kansas City Yesterday

Steve Wyche of NFL.com is reporting that Eric Berry was in Kansas City yesterday meeting with the Chiefs. See? Even on quiet days like yesterday, the machine is moving at Arrowhead. From Wyche:

"Tennessee safety Eric Berry, considered the top defensive back in next month’s NFL draft, has scheduled formal visits with the Kansas City Chiefs, Washington Redskins, Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a source with knowledge of the situation said Tuesday.A source told NFL.com’s Frank Tadych that Berry also will visit with the Cleveland Browns on April 7. According to Tadych’s source, Berry visited with the Chiefs on Tuesday, then is scheduled to see the Redskins (Wednesday), Eagles (April 6) and Bucs (April 11)."

The one visit that should jump out at you is today, Wednesday, Berry is visiting the Redskins. It makes sense that the Redskins would take a hard look at Berry. A safety this talented doesn’t come alone every year and the Skins would be foolish to not at least take a look. That doesn’t mean that Washington is going to snatch Berry away from the Chiefs at #4 but then again, Berry’s visit to KC doesn’t mean it is a lock the Chiefs will take him either. The teams at the top of the draft are just doing their due diligence.

Still, if you are in the Berry camp, the news of him being in KC has to be exciting.
