Why The Heck Are The Chiefs Working Out A Punter?

The Chiefs worked out a punter. Why? KC’s punter is one of the absolute best in the league. From National Football Post:

"Punter Zoltan Mesko auditioned for the Kansas City Chiefs today as he conducted a private workout on the University of Michigan campus, according to an NFL source with knowledge of the situation.The Ray Guy Award finalist is a two-time All-Big Ten Conference selection.The second-team All-American selection averaged a school-record 44.9 yards last season with 17 over 50 yards, 18 fair-caught, three touchbacks and 15 downed inside the 20-yard line.Mesko punted in the Senior Bowl for the North squad.The athletic 6-foot-5, 240-pounder bench pressed 225 pounds 16 times at the NFL scouting combine."

Look at that last part. The dude is 240 pounds and can bench 225, 16 times? And he is 6-5? Why the hell is he a punter? I am wondering if Scott Pioli is thinking the same thing. Perhaps the Chiefs threw a couple of passes to this kid at his workout. Maybe the Chiefs think they can convert him to a TE?
