NFL Will Not Announce Early Prime Time Games Today

Yesterday was supposed to be the day the NFL released the names of the teams playing in the opening week prime time games as well as the Thanksgiving Day games. Somewhere around mid-day, however, it was announced that the NFL needed more time and would move the announcement to today.

Well, now it appears that the NFL won’t announce the games at all…at least for the foreseeable future. John McClain of the

Houston Chronicle has tweeted the following:

"NFL just told us there will be no announcement today on opening-weekend games. That means to Thanksgiving games, too."
