Dear Mr. Thomas Dimitroff:

You have known me for quite sometime.  We have shared more than a few lengthy conversations and have worked well together in the past.  It can be argued that we are even cut from the same cloth (Parcells, Bellicheck, etc).  This cloth dictates that you should keep an air of secrecy around a franchise, especially during draft time.   We might even share a few secrets between ourselves if it betters our respective franchises, but I always thought that whatever I shared with you would stay amongst us.  I was wrong.

You recently intimated to Peter King of Sports Illustrated that during a recent conversation I had with you, I was unwilling to draft a safety at number five overall. It may be true that I am not interested in drafting safety Eric Berry that high but that does not mean I want the world to know.

Information is power.  You know that I especially love to run a tight ship as far as information goes.  Leading up to and during the draft, the more I know about others intent and the less they know about my intent places my franchise in a better position. I will be careful to share information with you in the future.

Burned By You,

Scott “Not the Real One” Pioli (Fictional)
