AA’s New Forums Now Live!

Sorry we keep bombarding you with new stuff, Addicts but this one I think

you are going to like! The new AA Forums have now gone live! If you look up top there on the menu bar you will see the forums tab.

I am really excited about two particular forums I want to draw your attention to. They are the Addict Posts and the Addict Alerts!

After the jump I will give you a quick run down of each new forum and what they are for!

The Addict Posts

This is a place for you, the reader to blog about the Chiefs. That doesn’t mean we don’t still want you to talk in the comments, we do. This is the place to come when you have something more to say and you want to share it with the Addict community. Posts here should be longer than your average comment. I would say at least 100 words or so.

There are many advantages to this new feature to AA. For starters you have a place to tell the community what you think in a more in depth manner while also getting the opinions of the rest of the group. Well written, informative posts will be noticed and appreciated and if your stuff is really good it could just end up on the main page of AA! There are also more options here than there are in the comments. You have the tool bar to add pictures, video and pretty much anything else you want to use to spice up your posts.

We will come through and clean out older posts periodically. Just keep in mind that the same behavior we expect you to exhibit in the comments is expected here. No politics, racism, sexism and no personal bickering. Debate is fine but always be sure to keep it respectful and Chiefs related.

You can write about anything you like. Just make sure it is of decent length and quality. If you don’t take pride in your work no one else will either. Have fun, Addicts! I can’t wait to see who busts out the first ever Addict Post and who is the first to get promoted to the front page!

Addict Alerts!

Sound the alarm! Here you can post any Chiefs related news or info here by using quotes and links. You can always feel free to add your own thoughts as well but keep it mostly related to the article, tweet or whatever it is you are reporting. This is a way for you to give each other and the AA staff a heads up if something about the Chiefs is out there and we haven’t seen it yet. This way as a community, we have more eyes out there and we will get news to the main page faster.

Believe me, I will be checking this forum obsessively. If you break something here then you will get props on the main page for beating us to the punch. We may not promote everything to the main page, it will just depend on how important it is and so forth but it will be a great way to get every spec of Chiefs news that is out there.

Also, please always check to be sure that the info you are posting has not already been covered on the main page.

Well that is it, Addicts. We will be working out some of the bugs in the forum over the next few weeks, figuring out what works and what doesn’t but they are open and ready to go.

These forums are really for you guys and I can’t wait to see what you make of them!
