Good pick up (maybe) 3-4 defense needs a beast at nose, we have to get one somewhere.Can only help though, even as a back-up.Might be the thing to help Johnson at LB. (Chiefs trade him, or don't start him then someone needs a head examined.)

BTW, not that it means a thing, but it was nice to see both Kiper and McShay had us taking Berry and not taking our 4th straight 1st rounder on a trench player.

I know this is off topic, but I just looked at 3 well-visited mock drafts and all 3 had either Suh/McCoy and Berry falling to the Chiefs. And only 1 had us taking Berry.

shuaun smith used to be a beast!! I think he could truly be our starting NT. This might be his last shot in the NFL, so maybe he makes the most out of it and can be a force on the front three.

I agree, good signing for depth. We still need a stud like Williams from Tenn. It's nice to see us being agressive in free agency but not stupid!

I agree, good sign. Familiar with Crennel and is a true NT. And while I think him a backup; now we may need to only grab 1 NT in the draft as opposed to 2.

I think this is a good signing. Crennel has a history with him. He is excited to be a Chief. We have a True Big Man for Depth. We will still pick up a big man later in the draft though. Welcome aboard Mr. Smith! Now, don't mess up.
