Shaun Smith To Visit Chiefs

I reported this rumor to you earlier and now it looks like it has some legs.

From Pro Football Talk:

The all-time PFT leader in posts-per-tackle, defensive lineman Shaun Smith is visiting the Chiefs this week, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

No deal has been reported, but Smith is clearly excited about the possibility. He’s already changed his Twitter avatar to the Chiefs logo.

Smith was not tendered a contract by the Bengals last week. He’s played with three teams in six seasons, including two stints with Cincinnati.

Kind of funny he changed his Twitter logo without being signed. You have to like his enthusiasm.

Sorry about that Pat. I tried to post a Shaun Smith story at the same time you did.

looks like this would be a decent pick up...

pat:

I remember last year at the beginning of the season when cassel would take the snap everyone in the room would hold their breath and hope he could throw it fast enough. But by the end of the year while we were watching the denver game I realized he was sitting back in the pocket waiting to go long on the first play! It was like two different teams. I know we need another guy but it might only take acquiring one or two solid veterans to bring composure to the O-line. Cause the main thing with and offensive line is playing like a team. So my question is how long will the chiefs wait to pick an OL up since the acquisition of TJ? since we know pioli likes to let things settle out.
