From Pro Football Talk:
I thought Dwan Edwards would be an attractive-enough free agent to rank him in my top-ten unrestricted free agents, so didn’t surprise me that he’s received so much early interest.
It’s more surprising that Edwards has visited two places (Seattle and Denver) and has yet to sign a contract.
Edwards completed his visit with the Broncos Sunday, and it “doesn’t appear” there will be a deal, according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post.
Teams may be hesitant to hand Edwards the money he’s looking for because of a spinal fusion surgery he underwent in 2008, but he’s one of the only young decent linemen available.
I have to say I am happy to hear this. While the Chiefs may not have any need for a guy like Edwards, he will be a good pickup for someone. I’m just glad it won’t be the Broncos.
