Chiefs Sign QB, Croyle On His Way Out?

From Josh Looney via Twitter:

"JoshLooney Chiefs sign QB Tyler Palko – former college QB of Larry Fitzgerald"

Palko is a backup QB who has had trouble catching on in the NFL. He went undrafted in the 2007 draft out of the University of Pittsburgh. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New Orleans Saints but was released on their final cut down. Since he has spent some time with the Arizona Cardinals and last season was sighed to the Steelers practice squad before being promoted to the active roster following the injuries of Ben Roethlisburger and Charlie Batch.

This signing is very curious considering the Chiefs just resigned 3rd string QB Matt Gutierrez. This either means the Chiefs want an extra arm to take to camp or they may be preparing to say goodbye to restricted free agent QB, Brodie Croyle.
