I totally think we should go after Peppers. Let Vrabel go and you have Peppers and Hali at OLB. That would change the entire D.

I just saw that Peppers won't be signing long term w/ the Panthers. Anyone else think we should go after him even if we have to overpay? I think he still has plenty in the tank and would be a beast as an OLB if we could pick him up. It makes me shiver to think that we could get McClain and Peppers in the same LB core.

Very good point Dubldug.

Haley surely made some mistakes in his first season but I think a lot of his aggressive calls were due to the teams terrible offensive performance, especially early in games. After a certain point, the Chiefs weren't going to the playoffs and everyone knew it. Haley was going for wins. It wasn't always the right call but I think he was just going for broke a lot of times.

If he is just as aggressive when the Chiefs have a better team and have a better chance of coming back on a team, then he is just being reckless. But going for broke against teams that are obviously superior to yours can sometimes help even the playing field a bit.
