Filed to ESPN: Oakland Raiders will hire former Chiefs defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast as their defensive backs coach.
If Schefter says it, it’s true. I don’t think this is really a big deal. I figured there was no way anyone was going to hire Pendergast as a defensive coordinator so he was bound to end up as a positions coach somewhere. Shame for him it had to be Oakland. Although, I hear they have a pretty decent CB over there so Clancy should be alright. I wish him the best. May his defensive backs play very well…but may the Raiders lose all their games.

forgive me, but why the hell should Chiefs fans give a rip about the DB’s in O-town doing well just because a one-year, place-holder coach who collected a season’s paycheck and did nothing to improve our sieve-like Defense?
it’s even worse that it’s the Raiders. I don’t begrudge the guy a job, frankly i don’t care one way or the other about him – but i sure don’t wish him well – i hope our receivers have a freakin’ field day against the raiders next year, just so we don’t have to hear announcers talk about KC letting a good coach get away.

With all the top draft picks on the D it’s been my biggest disappointment for the Chief’s. I really thought we had the personnel to have a solid D. I think with Romeo on board we will take a huge step forward. Heck if he just get’s ppl to play up to their abilities and pick-up a couple of decent draft/free agents we should be pretty tough. I expect both Dorsey and Jackson will have break-out years.
faiders? yeah im glad the queef fans have so much room to talk trash. with the awesome season they had. and their pile of lombardi’s and all those division wins. al davis may be an idiot but the raiders have 3 times as many superbowl wins and twice as many division championships.
