Romeo Defeats Marty In Dramatic Fashion

You’ve got to love the Chiefs new defensive coordinator.

Romeo Crennel coached the East squad to a dramatic come from behind victory over Marty Shottenheimer and the West, in the East-West Shrine Game.  His team did it with solid defense and a clutch 4th quarter TD drive.

Down 10 to 6 with two minutes to go, Crennel’s team forced the West to punt from deep in their own territory. Crennel showed incredible clock management while his QB, Mike Kafka, lead the East on a methodical drive for the go ahead touchdown with only 9 seconds remaining.

Crennel received a Gatorade bath from his players and did a little shimmy in celebration.

Let’s hope Romeo has many more Gatorade baths in his future!

Go Chiefs!
