Weis Interested In Bears Job?

Shortly after we heard that Romeo Crennel may be interested in the Giants Defensive Coordinator position, ESPN is now reporting that Charlie Weis, recently rumored to be on the Chiefs radar, is interested in the Bears Offensive Coordinator position.

Former Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis is interested in the possibility of coming to Chicago, and he is currently holding off pursuing a similar role with the Kansas City Chiefs because of Tuesday’s developments at Halas Hall, according to a source close to the Bears.

It looks as though the Chiefs have some competition if indeed Crennel and Weis are their wish list. We’ll keep you informed as more information on this front develops.

No competition. If he wants to succeed he needs to come here. The Bears need a lot of help, or they wouldn't have fired the entire offensive coaching staff!! Not sure I really want Weis though. Could he really make use of our new emerging star in JC? He seems like a QB oriented OC and we need someone that can concentrate on making JC the star of this offense. Or am I totally off my rocker here?
