Chiefs Notes

by Chiefs

Here are some quick hits for you on what is going on with the Chiefs today.

-Dwayne Bowe was a little late to practice. This seemed to be expected and it does not appear he is being punished for it. Josh Looney of KC Chiefs.com reported that Bowe was seen mentoring some of the new practice squad editions on some route running.

-Dorsey was at practice and lining up with the first team. Good to have you back Glenn.

-Morgan was missing from the media portion of practice so Donald Washington took reps at Safety.

-Brian Waters dressed but was limited.

-Brad Cottam had surgery today to help repair the cracked vertebra in his neck.

“Everything that I’ve heard is that (the surgery) went very well,” Haley said. “He was uncomfortable there for a couple days when he wasn’t in a position to really move around a bunch, even though he could. Just from a safety standpoint in keeping him in a stable position.“

Check out Looney’s full report here.

It is quite wild that in a season where we lose Leggett, and play musical nickel back, Washington can't stay active...strange...but I know he was listed as raw, very raw.

I guess it is sort of like morgan, who for the longest time I wondered why he never got to play...then of course we all saw him play after the preseason and that quickly changed any thoughts of "morgan needs to play"

and definitely, love to talk chiefs football

I think they should try him out at kick returner or maybe even receiver if he is so athletic. Maybe he will be better at getting open than covering.

Also, thanks for the kind words SDChief. Nice to see you here commenting. The more comments the better around here.

gosh I know people disliked the D-wash pick but if he could become a safety that would be very interesting...he does have the athletic ability and size to do it.

You are doing a great job patrick, I had not been over here for awhile but you are hitting on topics that are new, which is great.

keep up the great work, I like having more than just AP, LOVE AP, but the more chiefs insight the better!
