Yesterday’s roster moves allowed the Chiefs to add two players to the practice squad. The new additions are Logan Payne and Chandler Williams. We told you about the Chiefs having Williams in for a workout yesterday. More on the new players after the jump.

Payne (6-2, 205) started two games for Seattle in 2008, catching three passes for 39 yards. He originally entered the NFL a rookie free agent with the Seahawks in 2007, spending time on the practice squad with Seattle. He was also on Detroit’s practice squad in 2009. Payne played in 46 games at the University of Minnesota, recording 96 receptions for 1,333 yards with 11 TDs.
Williams (5-11, 176) entered the NFL as a seventh-round draft pick (233rd overall) of Minnesota in the 2007 NFL Draft. He has spent time on the practice squad with Miami (2007) and Atlanta (2008) and attended training camp with the Falcons in 2009. Williams played in 41 games (26 starts) at Florida International, catching a school-record 203 passes for 2,519 yards with eight TDs. He also returned 26 kickoffs for 542 yards and six punts for 90 yards.




They can’t be any worse than what we’ve got. No one but Chambers can catch apparently. So bring em’ in. What the hell’s it gonna hurt?
