According to Kent Babb of the Kansas City Star via his Twitter Feed, second year TE Brad Cottam has been placed on Injured Reserve with a cracked bone in his vertebra.
According to Babb, Cottam “has no spinal cord damage, and Cottam has no decreased function in his extremities.”
check out Babb’s report over at The Red Zone.
Cottam had been used sparingly in the passing game until last Sunday against the Browns when he exploded with 4 catches for 62 yards.
Unfortunate development for Cottam, who looked to be on his way up the depth chart.
