Chiefs Working Out New Receiver?

Joel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride.com has it from a source that the Chiefs are working out WR Chandler Williams today.

A 24 year old receiver out of Bradenton, Florida, Williams is one of many receivers the Chiefs have checked out this season in order to combat the case of the dropsies that have taken over in recent weeks.

Williams comes in at 5’11″, 178 pounds and hails from Florida International University.

We’ll keep you up to date as the story develops.

Lest we forget, Todd Haley cut his teeth as a WR coach and has exerted increasingly greater control over coaching that position since demoting Cedric Ward. It is just another example among many in a long string of major indictments which all point to the same conclusion - Todd Haley's skills and effectiveness as an NFL head coach leave everything to be desired.

He is way in over his head and shows himself again and again to be completely incapable of recognizing his own inadequacies. His solution to every perceived problem is to get rid of the players he sees as responsible and when that doesn't work, he gets rid of the coach he feels is responsible and then takes on that coaches responsibility for himself. How is that working for you Todd?

Haley's chronic poor judgment is the reason why things have gone from bad to worse this season. The Chiefs are in a downward spiral. It is time to cut our losses.

Scott Pioli, are you paying attention?!!

It doesn't matter that you are currently able to catch the ball Jeremy. According to Todd Haley, the problem our receivers are experiencing is one of a "contagious" nature. So, whatever catching skills you might bring Jeremy, are bound to be undone by Todd Haley's contagion.

I am thinking about going out for LB. Anyone else interested?

About 75% of the time, which is more than our current crop. lol

Jeremy, can you catch the damn ball?

I am trying out next week. I am online right now buying my plane ticket. The Chiefs were going to pay for the ticket, but cited low ticket sales as an excuse.

No harm in churning the practice squad. You never know when you are going to pull a hit out.

It isn't really a bad move. The Chiefs have had a lot of injuries and have a couple of extra spots available on the Practice Squad.

Week 15 and we're still bringing in receivers off the street for try outs. This is a joke, right?
