Chiefs Have 1-2 Punch in Bowe,Chambers

While they may not be Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin, Dwayne Bowe and Chris Chambers appear to make each others job easier. Unfortunately, due to Bowe’s 4 game suspension for violating the leagues policy on performance enhancing substances, the new receiving due have only played together in two games.

When they Bowe and Chambers have been on the field together, they have put up pretty solid numbers. In the Jacksonville game (Chambers’ first with the team) and the Browns game (Bowes first game back from suspension) the two combined for 16 catches for 314 yards and 3 touchdowns. In these games the Chiefs scored 21 and 34 points which is higher than their season average.

Though the Chiefs only have two more games to evaluate Bowe and Chambers as a potential 1-2 punch for next year, you have to think they are going to give the idea of resigning Chambers careful consideration.

The Chiefs have a lot of holes to fill and it looks like the combination of Bowe and Chambers at WR and Jamaal Charles in the backfield could work for them fairly well next year. This would give the team a chance to fill other, more urgent needs such as the offensive line, nose tackle, linebacker and safety.

What do you think Addicts? Should the Chiefs resign Chris Chambers?
