Well Addicts, the last home game of the season is rapidly approaching. My girl and I have decided to drive up to KC for the weekend, check out the Christmas lights, get some shopping done, eat some of the worlds best BBQ, and oh yes I almost forgot,  I’ve got two tickets and a red parking pass to the game Sunday.

The weather is predicted to be a high of 32 degrees, and the Chiefs it seems just keep getting worse and worse as the year progresses and the the crowds at our beloved Arrowhead smaller and smaller.

I have not decided if I want to sit through another FUBAR like Sundays game, so I thought I ask the crew at AA.

What aspect of FanSided 3.0 do you like the most?

What do you think Addicts, should I go to the game, or roll over and sleep late in my nice warm bed?

[...] this guy go to the Chiefs game on Sunday? Look at his options and then [...]

Well guys, I posted this in a moment of depression. Of course I'll be going. I'm a Chiefs fan, always was , always will be. I just needed a couple of breaks from the show and took them this year, glad I did. GO CHIEFS!

Hey guys. I know this is totally un-related but i think equally important.

Can everyone get on to nfl.com and vote for Colquitt in the pro ball. The only reason Lechlar gets voted in is because everyone knows his name. Can we all make a push and get Colquitt voted in. Its the Last week so lets really go for it. We need at least one player there this season. .

Matt:

We can respectfully disagree without anything, or anyone's opinion being "ridiculous," if that's in fact what "this" is--I can't quite tell. I hear you, brother-and you make good points. While we also might disagree on what conversations the current admin may or may not have, I didn't ask you to "buy" anything. Both the idea of going and not going can have valid reasons. I respect either decision. But agree with me to keep the fan passion hot, but the rhetoric cool.

Have a great time at the game, Randy and matt; your decisions sound like the right ones for the both you--I will be listening to Mitch and Lenny, hoping for a Chiefs win. We're all Arrowhead addicts and true Chiefs fans, whether we're at the game, in Rolla, or even in Connecticut!

Yell loudly for the boys in Red, and be sure to sing "The Home of the CHIEFS!!!"

Just a hypothetical guys, Ill go. I love my team and my stadium. But lots of interesting stuff brought out. I certainly must say people are definitely staying home.

Randy,

If I lived there and I had tickets, I would go. Not a doubt in my mind.

Go to the game Randy. Do it for me, a poor college student from Iowa trying to fight through finals week. Im a life long Chiefs fan but havent been able to go to a game in Arrowhead in almost 10 years. Enjoy this one for me so hopefully I can enjoy one for myself some day soon!

Bowe has not practiced for 4 weeks which means he'll be out of shape and out of sync. Highly doubt he'll be starting. If he does start, doubt he'll be able to make a difference. Just sayin'.

This is ridiculous. I'm going, in the midst of the cold and the mediocrity, to cheer on our team. Tickets are cheap, parking is cheap, and 32 degrees is balmy for mid-December.

I don't buy the notion that an empty stadium, or leaving at halftime, 'sends a message' to management/ownership - they know the team sucks. Revenues are down, (which is why ticket prices are down), merchandise sales are slow, and Matt Cassel's doing milk commercials (if THAT's not a sign of the state of the organization, I don't know what is)

The difference these days (as opposed to the last 5-7 years with Carl), is that everyone is on-board with a new philosophy. They're not out there signing big-name, past-their-prime free agents to make a splash on local radio and get the fans' hopes up, only to crush them when we find that we've overpaid (again) for over-the-hill has-beens...and don't throw the offensive stats at me from the Vermiel years - we had to score 40 'cuz the D gave up 39!

We are truly witnessing a re-building, in the literal sense of the term. How many articles have we read on AA and other blogs about which players from this year's roster will start next season? You don't think the front office at 1 Arrowhead is having the same conversation?

This management team inherited a bottom-dwelling team with a mediocre roster. I'm not making excuses, Haley has made more than his share of rookie mistakes, and Pioli whiffed big time by not addressing the O-line situation, but turnarounds like we saw in Miami and Atlanta last year are the exception, not the rule.

D-Bowe, Chambers and Charles should be a nice trifecta of options on Sunday (all 3 in the starting line-up for only the second time this year).

See you at the game!

I would have to say stay home or spend time with your girl doing something else. I agree with DD/Rolla. I was actually hoping we would have our first blackout last week-end but didn't. I would normally treat this as a prideful ownership view as a Chief's fan, but it would be awesome to show this regime how bad they are truely sucking right now! Haley's first comment after last Sunday's pathetic game was how he would like to thank the fans, well I say empty the stadium and show Haley how we truely feel!. Besides, Cribbs and the Cleveland Def are going to run all over us. JC is the only person who can give us a chance in this meaningless game and I am not talking about Jesus Christ!

Rolla:

I understand your points, but I think the message has been sent. The sea of red is now the sea of red chairs. Randy going or not going to the game is not going to change that. Randy, you have your tickets, your room, go and have fun, boo if you need to. If we win, you will kick yourself for not going.

I do understand where you're coming from, Double D--I really do, but attending the game for personal reasons--even for a half--does nothing to help the bigger picture. Please accept all due respect, Double D, in my disagreement with your suggestion.

I'm absolutely serious that if you stay home, you can rest in the knowledge that you've sent your stronget message. And it IS for the good of the fans and the franchise.

My guess is that Clark Hunt, through his organizations, sent the directive to buy up the remaining tickets for the Bills game, to keep the sellout streak. It's a common occurrence with franchises, and all done very hush-hush. Like with the Bills game, the blackout is "suddenly" lifted. Clark will likely do the same for the last home game of the season. I hope not, though. Let the streak end here. We won't tolerate such a poor product in 2010!!!

The Browns game is your last chance this season, Randy, to send your message for 2010. You HAVE supported your team. Your presence through every other game AND in this website is testament to that. No more blowups. No more nonexistent position talent (like WR, TE, and S). No more!!!

Also, if you do go, make sure you boo your lungs out while you're there.

Randy,

First, pay your final respects to this season. Second, send a message by helping empty the stadium at halftime. May even be there myself.

Im really on the fence guys. Rolla, you make great points.

Do not go. Here's why:

I was at the Broncos game after an eight-year hiatus (I moved to Rolla, MO). I was appalled at the lack of gameday experience. Same ole' stale KC Wolf nonsense. Silly Transformers pre-game video. In short, the gameday experience desperately needs a face lift.

As well, next year is time to make noise. The KC fans have waited through TWO franchise blowups. Matt Cassel is regressing, despite better o-line play and the emergence of Jamaal Charles. The safeties are abysmal. The receivers are, with the exception of the Rams, the worst in the NFL.

The ONLY VOICE FANS HAVE IS WITH THEIR PRESENCE AT THE GAME. A virtually empty stadium sends the loudest message you can to GM Pioli. 2010 is the time. We'd better be competitive. Haley needs to hire an OC and fire his DC. By not attending, you send the strongest--indeed the only--message you can to the Chiefs' organization. Deliver or we'll hit you where you really understand it--the bottom line.

Don't go, Randy. Don't go. It's your only vote for the product on the field.

Randy:

Last home game, finish strong and represent.

I do too Woody. Just so disallusioned right now.

You had better be there...already in the city with parking and everything already. I will disown you. I'd be there if I could, still love that place.
